Setting Up Your Chiller MaxUpdated a day ago

Built for users who want to get colder faster and stay there. The Chiller Max Pro reaches 2°C in 3–4 hours, holds temperature with minimal fluctuation, and features enhanced three-stage filtration for high-frequency use. If you have an Original model, the setup process is the same with the exception of the filter cup step noted below.

Before you start

  • The Chiller Max generates more heat exhaust than smaller units. Choose a well-ventilated position.
  • Minimum 40 cm clearance on all sides and above the unit
  • Confirm your power supply matches the chiller's voltage requirements (AU/NZ: 240V | US: 120V)
  • Download the TUYA Smart app before setup if you want WiFi control. See Connect Your Chiller to WiFi for pairing instructions.
  • Pro only: confirm the top filter cup is installed correctly before connecting hoses.

Connecting to your tub

  1. Attach the inlet hose to the inlet fitting on your tub
  2. Attach the outlet hose to the outlet fitting
  3. Confirm connections are secure and hoses run without kinking

Filling your tub

Fill your tub before switching the chiller on. The water level must fully cover the inlet fitting before the pump is running.

Powering on

  1. Switch on at the wall
  2. Set your target temperature on the control panel or via the TUYA app
  3. Allow 3–4 hours to reach your target temperature. This is the fastest cooling time of any non-commercial unit in the range.

Filter maintenance

  • Internal mesh filter: remove and rinse weekly. No replacement needed.
  • External 20-micron cartridge filter: replace every 5–7 weeks. Given the Chiller Max's higher water throughput, keeping the filter clean is especially important for maintaining flow rate and performance.
  • Pro only: check and clean the top filter cup regularly.

Settings

  • P1: Temperature hysteresis (default 2°C)
  • P2: Compressor start-up delay (default 3 minutes)
  • P3: Display toggle between °C and °F
