Chiller Is LeakingUpdated 2 hours ago
Most chiller leaks come from a seal or fitting that needs re-seating, and you can usually fix it in a few minutes.
Where is the water coming from?
If water is coming from inside the chiller casing (front left or right), switch it off, unplug it and keep it unplugged.
Filter housing (most common)
- Switch off and unplug the chiller.
- Unscrew the filter lid.
- Check that the O-ring is clean, undamaged and sitting flat in its groove.
- Refit the lid and tighten it by hand.
- Run the chiller for 10 minutes and check again.
Hose connections
Switch off at the wall. Check that each connection has its rubber washer or O-ring in place, then re-tighten by hand. Only use sealing tape on threaded joints that don’t have a washer.
Drain cap
Hand-tighten the cap and check its rubber seal isn’t cracked or flattened. If the cap is stuck, don’t use tools on it, as that can damage the port. Send us a photo instead.
Still dripping?
Send us a close-up photo or video of exactly where the water is coming from, along with your order number. We’ll send the right replacement part.
