Safety & Usage Guidelines
Please read all safety guidelines before operating your chiller. Vital+ accepts no responsibility for misuse or failure to follow these instructions.
General Safety
- Operators must be 18 years or older.
- Always turn the chiller off and unplug before getting into the water.
- Never operate the chiller with wet hands.
- Keep the power cord away from heavy objects; do not run it under carpets.
- Do not insert objects into the chiller's vents or openings.
- Always keep the chiller upright and on a stable, level surface. Do not invert.
- Install in a well-ventilated area with at least 100 cm (39 in) of clear space around all vents.
- Do not place in closets, cabinets, or any enclosed space that restricts airflow.
- Ensure the filter is installed before operating the chiller.
- Regularly clean the water filter and dust net for optimal performance.
- Disconnect power before any maintenance or cleaning.
- Do not disassemble or modify the chiller unless specifically advised by Vital+ support.
- Avoid use in very humid or dusty conditions.
- Report any signs of damage, leaking, strange noises, smells, or performance issues immediately. Stop use and contact support.
- Keep pets and children away during operation.
- Avoid placing the chiller in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
- If ambient temperature drops below 0°C (32°F), ensure the chiller is running with water circulating at all times to prevent freeze damage. Freeze damage caused by failure to maintain circulation is not covered under warranty.
- Before switching on, confirm sufficient water is in the tub and all water pipes are connected properly. Dry-running the pump will generate noise and reduce its service life.
- Place the power socket at a higher position than the chiller to prevent water running down the cord toward the socket.
- Exercise caution around children, the elderly, and those with limited mobility.
Electrical Safety
- After transportation, the chiller must remain upright on a stable surface at all times.
- After transportation and before first use, leave the chiller upright for 24 hours to allow refrigeration gas to settle.
- Plug into an appropriate AC socket or extension cable rated for the chiller's power requirements.
- Never leave the chiller powered on while in the water. Always power off the unit during your cold water therapy session.
- If the chiller stops working or will not power on, unplug it immediately and do not attempt to restart it. Contact support.
- For any electrical fault or concern, contact authorised service personnel. Do not attempt repairs.
- Working temperature range: 34–113°F (1–45°C).
- Storage temperature (no water inside): −4–131°F (−20–55°C).
- Storage relative humidity: 20%–85%.
- Ensure the unit is fully unplugged when setting up or during electrical storms.
- Make sure the plug is fully inserted into the socket before use.
Health & Cold Therapy
- Always consult your doctor before using an ice bath if you have any health conditions.
- Never use an ice bath alone. Always have someone nearby in case of an emergency.
- Acclimatise slowly. Start with higher water temperatures and reduce gradually over multiple sessions.
- Ensure you are well-hydrated before your session and have not consumed alcohol or substances that affect your body's response to cold.
- Start with short sessions of 2–3 minutes and increase gradually as your body adapts.
- Do not hold your breath underwater or perform dangerous breath work while in the tub.
