Setup

Same process as the Ice Bath Pro with a few things worth knowing first.

  1. Choose a flat, stable, waterproof surface indoors or outdoors. The Arctic White is IPX4 rated and suitable for both.
  2. Unpack and unfold the tub fully before inflating.
  3. Inflate with the included double-action hand pump until walls are very firm.
  4. Drop-stitch construction feels noticeably rigid when fully inflated, this is normal.
  5. Ensure all valve pins are in the raised, closed position after inflating.
  6. Connect chiller hoses to the IN and OUT fittings before adding water.
  7. Fill to 5–7cm below the top rim.
  8. Ensure water level is above the chiller intake height before switching the chiller on.
  9. Leave the chiller upright for 24 hours after delivery before powering on for the first time.
  10. Power on and set your target temperature via the Tuya Smart App.

Cooling time

  • The Ultra X2 chills down to 37°F (2.5°C).
  • Allow sufficient time for the water to reach your target temperature from ambient.
  • Running the chiller overnight is the most reliable way to ensure it's ready for a morning session.

Your First Session

Everything in the Pro first session guide applies here. A few things worth adding for the Arctic White.

Before you get in

  • Start at 55–60°F (13–15°C) and build down from there over time.
  • The benefits kick in well before the coldest setting.
  • The reclined, ergonomic form is one of the Arctic White's standout features. Let your body settle into the angle rather than sitting upright, it makes longer sessions noticeably more comfortable.

In the water

  • Start with 2–3 minutes. Build to 5–10 as your body adapts.
  • The first 30 seconds are the hardest. Slow exhales help your nervous system settle into the cold.
  • Focus on your breath rather than the temperature.
  • Keep hands submerged where possible for a more effective session.

After your session

  • Let your body rewarm naturally before a hot shower, the rewarming process is part of the benefit.
  • If you have a SaunaPod or XEN, contrast therapy is one of the most effective recovery protocols.

Filtration & Water Care

The Ultra X2's triple-stage filtration system (ozone, 20-micron, and sediment) is designed to keep water clean for up to 8 weeks between changes.

  • Internal filters should be rinsed weekly and do not need replacing.
  • The 20-micron cartridge filter needs replacing every 5–7 weeks.
  • Replacement filters are available separately.
  • Do not use bleach or corrosive disinfectants in the water—the ozone system handles sanitisation.

Care & Maintenance

After every session

  • Rinse the interior with clean water after each use.
  • Leave the lid open for 15–20 minutes after use to allow air circulation.
  • Wipe the exterior dry as the off-white colour way shows marks more readily than darker tubs, so a quick wipe after each session keeps it looking its best.

Strap care

The Arctic White features decorative straps that are a design detail, not a structural component.

  • Do not pull, twist, or use the straps as handles when moving the tub.
  • Inspect periodically for fraying or loosening at attachment points.
  • Wipe with a soft damp cloth only. No abrasives, brushes, or cleaning sprays directly on the strap material. Allow to dry naturally and keep away from prolonged direct sunlight, which can cause discolouration over time.

Ongoing

  • Keep the tub out of prolonged direct sunlight when not in use.
  • UV exposure degrades PVC and can discolour the off-white finish over time.
  • Do not use bleach, abrasive cleaners, or solvent-based products on the tub interior or exterior.
  • For mineral buildup: diluted white vinegar (1:4 with water) on a soft cloth, rinse thoroughly.
  • Inspect seams and valve areas periodically for signs of wear or slow deflation.
  • Do not place sharp objects near or inside the tub.

Deflated storage

  • Ensure the tub is completely dry before deflating and folding.
  • Fold loosely rather than rolling tightly to avoid stress on the seams.
  • Store in the carry bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Do not store heavy items on top of the folded tub.

If you get a puncture

  • Use the included repair kit for small holes or tears.
  • Clean and dry the area thoroughly before applying the patch and allow full cure time before refilling.
  • For larger damage or seam failures, contact support before attempting a repair.

Winter and cold weather

  • If temperatures drop below 32°F (0°C), drain fully before freezing conditions arrive.
  • Keep the chiller circulating in cold weather to prevent frozen lines. If ambient drops below 1°C, disconnect pipes and fully drain the chiller to prevent freeze damage.
  • Store the deflated tub indoors during extended cold periods.
