Sauna SafetyUpdated an hour ago
You are using something that is very hot. Exercise caution when actively using it, and always switch off the unit if something doesn't feel right.

| SaunaPod Infrared | 50–65°C (122–149°F) | 45 minutes |

New to sauna? Start at the low end with 10–15 minute sessions, and build up over a few weeks.
During your session
- Drink water before and after. You’ll lose more fluid through sweat than you think.
- Don’t fall asleep in the sauna, and don’t use it when you’re drowsy.
- Get out straight away if you feel dizzy, faint, nauseous or unwell. Sit somewhere cool, rehydrate, and don’t stand up quickly.
- Never leave a running sauna unattended, including on timer.
- Children under 14 shouldn’t use a sauna. Anyone under 18 should only use one with adult supervision. Keep children and pets away from the sauna, steam unit and hoses while they’re running.
Before every session: SaunaPod Steam
- Check the steam hose is free of kinks, folds or blockages.
- Twist the SmartSteam lid clockwise until it locks fully into place. A loose lid leaks hot steam.
- Fill only to the MAX line.
- Essential oils go only in the small dispenser inside the tent, never in the steam unit itself.
- The steam unit and hose get very hot. Position them where no one can knock or touch them.
Before every session: SaunaPod Infrared
- Check that all 6 panels are connected as shown in your manual.
- Check the remote is working and the temperature is set correctly.
Before every session: XEN Sauna
- Check that the door seal and panel connections are in good condition.
- Keep at least 30 cm (12 in) clearance from walls, curtains and anything flammable.
- Make sure it sits on a flat, stable surface, away from water sources.
- Plug into a dedicated, earthed outlet only. Don’t use extension leads or power boards.
- Don’t use the sauna if the power cord is damaged, or if water has got into any electrical part. Unplug it and contact us.
After your session
- Switch off and unplug.
- Air it out for 15–20 minutes before closing up. Open the zip on SaunaPods, or the door on the XEN. For SaunaPod Steam, leave the drain hose open so condensation drains away.
- Never close up or store a sauna while it’s still damp. Trapped moisture causes mould.
Electrical issues
Never modify the wiring or attempt electrical repairs yourself. If a fuse or circuit breaker trips, don’t reset it until you know why. Contact us.
