SaunaPod Isn't HeatingUpdated an hour ago

If your SaunaPod isn't getting warm (or is taking much longer than expected) work through the checks below. In most cases it's about pre-heat time or the surrounding environment rather than a fault, and the two models (Infrared and Steam) have slightly different things to check.

First, give it enough time to pre-heat

The pod needs time to come up to temperature before you get in.

  • Infrared: allow 10–15 minutes to pre-heat. Far-infrared works best once the panels are fully warm, so don't judge it too early.
  • Steam: allow 5–10 minutes for steam to build inside the pod after powering on.
  • In a cold room (below 59°F / 15°C): the infrared model can take up to 40 minutes cold air dramatically slows things down.

Quick checks (both models)

  1. Confirm it's powered on and set. Check the unit is plugged in, switched on, the control panel is connected, and your target temperature is set.
  2. Check the room temperature. The colder the space, the harder and slower the pod heats. A normal indoor room (64–75°F / 18–24°C) is ideal.
  3. Keep it zipped during pre-heat. Every time you open the pod you release built-up heat and reset your progress. Let it warm fully before getting in.

Step-by-step diagnosis

Infrared model

  1. Confirm the control panel is connected and showing your set temperature.
  2. Give it the full pre-heat time for your room, up to 40 minutes if it's cold.
  3. Check the pod is set up indoors as infrared models are designed for indoor use and won't perform in cold or exposed conditions.
  4. If the panels aren't warming at all after a full pre-heat in a warm room, that points to a fault, contact us.

Steam model

  1. Check the steam generator has water in it, filled to the MAX line. No water means no steam.
  2. Confirm the steam hose is connected from the generator to the pod inlet a disconnected or loose hose lets steam escape before it reaches you.
  3. Confirm the unit is powered on and the generator is heating, then allow 5–10 minutes for steam to build.
  4. If the generator is on and filled but producing no steam after several minutes, contact us.

When to contact us

If you've confirmed power, settings, water (steam), and given a full pre-heat in a warm room (and it's still not heating) contact support with your order number, model (Infrared or Steam), and what you've already tried.

Stop this happening again

Most "not heating" reports come down to cold rooms or too-short pre-heat. For reliable heat:

  • Use the pod in a warm, draught-free indoor space
  • Allow the full pre-heat time before getting in, longer when it's cold
  • Keep it zipped while it warms
