Sensor Fault on Your ChillerUpdated 2 hours ago

If your chiller displays a sensor fault, it means one of the internal sensors that monitors temperature or pressure has stopped reading correctly, and the unit has shut down to protect itself. This is a hardware message, not something caused by anything you've done.

What you'll see

Depending on your model, the display will show either:

  • A temperature sensor fault (shown as E1 on the Ultra X2 and Acrylic, or named by probe such as T1, T3 on the Ultra Max and Ultra Ice), or
  • A pressure-related fault (on larger units), which relates to the sealed refrigeration system

What to do

  1. Power the unit off at the wall and wait 30 seconds.
  2. Power it back on. A temporary glitch will often clear with this reset.
  3. If the fault clears, you're good to go, keep an eye on it over the next few sessions.
  4. If the fault returns, the sensor needs reseating or replacing. This isn't a user repair, so please contact our support team with your order details and the exact code shown.

Please don't

  • Open or dismantle the unit. The sensors and refrigeration system are internal and sealed opening the chiller can be unsafe and may affect your warranty.
  • Keep resetting repeatedly if the fault keeps coming back. A recurring fault means a part needs attention, and repeated resets won't fix it.

When to contact us

Get in touch if the fault returns after a reset, or if you see any pressure-related alarm. Have your order number and the exact code or alarm name ready it helps our technical team diagnose faster. Most sensor issues are resolved with a replacement part under warranty.
