Setting Up Your Acrylic ChillerUpdated a day ago

Designed to pair with the Acrylic Tub, the 0.6HP brings mid-range power and faster cooling than the X2 to a fixed installation setup. The Pro features WiFi app control and three-stage filtration for cleaner water over longer periods. If you have an Original model, the setup process is identical with the exception of the filter cup step, which is noted below.

Before you start

  • Place on a flat, stable surface with at least 30 cm clearance on all sides for airflow
  • Confirm your power supply matches the chiller's voltage requirements (AU/NZ: 240V | US: 120V)
  • Download the TUYA Smart app before setup if you want WiFi control. See Connect Your Chiller to WiFi for pairing instructions.
  • Pro only: confirm the top filter cup is correctly installed before connecting hoses. Do not run the Pro without the filter cup in place.
  • This chiller is designed to pair with the Acrylic Tub but is also compatible with other tub models.

Connecting to your tub

  1. Attach the inlet hose to the inlet fitting on your tub. For the Acrylic Tub, the fittings are located at the base.
  2. Attach the outlet hose to the outlet fitting
  3. Confirm all connections are firm and hoses run without kinking between the chiller and tub

Filling your tub

Fill your tub before switching the chiller on. The water level must fully cover the inlet fitting. Running the pump dry will cause damage to the unit.

Powering on

  1. Switch on at the wall
  2. Set your target temperature on the control panel or via the TUYA app
  3. Allow 4–6 hours for the water to reach your target temperature, depending on water volume and ambient room temperature

Filter maintenance

  • Internal mesh filter: remove and rinse weekly. No replacement needed.
  • External 20-micron cartridge filter: replace every 5–7 weeks
  • Pro only: check and clean the top filter cup regularly. A blocked filter cup is the most common cause of E2 errors on the Pro model. See E2 Error: Acrylic Chiller 0.6HP for full troubleshooting steps.

Settings

  • P1: Temperature hysteresis (default 2°C)
  • P2: Compressor start-up delay (default 3 minutes)
  • P3: Display toggle between °C and °F
