Non-toxic water treatments or pool/spa-grade sanitizers (like chlorine or bromine tablets) in minimal doses can help maintain cleanliness. Always check the product instructions to ensure compatibility with your ice bath’s materials.

There are a couple of non-chlorine solutions we recommend that work well with X2 and Max chillers:

1. Potassium Peroxymonosulfate

A non-chlorine oxidizer used to “shock” water.

Helps break down organic waste like sweat, oils, and debris.

Keeps water clearer and helps other sanitizers (or UV) perform better.
